Lactation Consultation: We are strong supporters of breast feeding the newborn infant. We do not hold an extreme position on this, but we do everything possible to help a family wanting to breast feed. Ellen (Binky) Petok is a certified lactation consultant, who ran the Pump Connection and the lactation program at the Medical Center of Tarzana. She sees patients in our office all day on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. One of the doctors from the office (your doctor if the schedule allows) will join in the visit to check the baby and make sure we are involved in issues relating to your newborn’s nutrition. Our front office makes the appointments and does the billing for you. If we are on your insurance plan, you should be covered for this lactation consultation service. Before your first visit, please download, print and fill out our Lactation Intake Form. Please bring this with you. Thank you.
Your Toddler and The New Baby
Wednesday, May, 29, 2019 7-8:30pm, adults only, $20/family. If you are interested, please fill out the contact us form with PARENTING CLASS in the message. You will receive a call to confirm your reservation.
Introducing a new baby into the home of a 2-3-year-old can be exciting and overwhelming. The developmental changes that occur in the Toddler, even without the addition of a sibling, can raise many questions.
We are pleased to announce that we will be scheduling an evening with Hope Haves, a parent educator and former director of the developmental preschool, Maggy Haves School. Parents will have the opportunity to learn about how bringing a new baby into the home can affect the older child and what can be done to ease the transition.
This will be an adult only evening event from 7-8:30 pm at our office. The price will be $20/ family. Please let us know if you are interested in attending and we will contact you with further details. The first meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, May 29th. Space is limited and if necessary additional evenings will be added.
